An informal introduction to my Hosting Journey and future goals
Welcome! Let me start by saying puns will not be a regular occurrence, at least not intentionally. My name is Anthony Fonseca Jr., but while we’re in this space, you can call me Ant! I’d like to consider myself a Pop Culture Sociologist, the type of person who looks for the philosophical meaning behind why SpongeBob’s pants are square and other potent discussions. In essence, I’m a millennial reversing the weaponization of nostalgia from the comforts of my couch.
Beat Loaf
As far as a focus is concerned, this kitchen specializes in Pop Culture, meaning the menu will have variety. I want to use this space to talk about the Entertainment industry as a whole, which means covering music, movies, TV, and technology. The flair here, though, is that it’s going to be juxtaposed with philosophy and ideology. I don’t plan on just talking about the industry; instead, my goal is to creatively mix up how one could interpret the media they’re consuming. For example, Free Guy is a “better” sequel to the Matrix trilogy than Matrix four. I want to suggest ideas like that one and objectively explain why. Please leave a comment below if you’d actually be interested in my explanation.
Building Something Special
Simply reviewing creative work has reached a boiling point that hasn’t been constructive to the media in a while. I’m creating this blog with the hope of establishing a new standard for interpretation. Art is subjective, and the rubric of what’s good can’t be the same for any one creation. Instead, I want to establish my voice, refocusing the lens of entertainment. And to me, that starts with simply posing a question: What if Star Wars divided its fan base on purpose?
